Plug into progress – new LHM 800 mobile harbour crane for Marcor | Liebherr
Taking charge of bulk cargo like few can - we're thrilled to showcase the newest LHM 800, which is now in full swing at the Marcor Hartel Terminal in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

The largest crane in our mobile harbour crane portfolio, this LHM 800 impresses with a 64-metre boom that gracefully reaches between bulk ships by the quay and the interior of the storage facility. In this video, fish feed is being transferred and stored in newly constructed quayside warehouses with closable rooftops by Marcor Stevedoring B.V.
What's more, the crane sets a new benchmark in electric performance - it's the first LHM 800 in the world with an electric drive and no combustion engine! With a bulk-handling performance upwards of 2,000 tonnes per hour, as well as SmartGrip technology that optimises the filling rate of the grabber in a self-learning manner, the crane supports forward-looking bulk and stevedoring operations.
And this is only the beginning. A second LHM 800 has been ordered and will be delivered in the future to ultimately provide twice the cargo handling capacity.
Strong cranes and efficient cargo flow - that's the winning formula.

The marketing and the animations always look very nice. In reality, during commissioning of the first crane, it was rejected by the customer. Crane was dismanteled and now runs through a redesign. Let´s see if LH can solve all the issues and the crane finally delivers its promised performance.
